Create in the shadow of giants.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, is home to the second largest collection of art in North America. All SMFA students have free access to the museum, located next door to our main building. During your time here, you’ll engage with the MFA again and again, studying works that have changed the course of art history while working with a respected community of arts professionals, from curators and historians to visiting artists and conservators.

SMFA students and alumni exhibit their work in the Museum each year during shows specifically designed to feature the SMFA community. The Museum also offers several student employment positions and internships, which provide a chance for you to gain invaluable experience working alongside leading curators and conservators.
