Information For Art Teachers and School Counselors
At SMFA, students find a challenging learning environment, a vibrant art community that crosses years and disciplines, and a strong faculty mentorship program. The self-directed course of study frees students from the traditional constraints of a major, encouraging out-of-the-box thinking and powerful, public-facing work.
High School Programs
SMFA at Tufts provides incredible opportunities for high school students throughout the year.
The Pre-College Summer Intensive in Studio Art develops young artists' foundational skills and exposes them to new technologies and conceptual frameworks for approaching arts with a focus on portfolio development.
Our City Studio Program is a free, after-school studio art program open to Boston Public Schools students during the fall and spring semesters.
