Erling Saevarsson was born and raised in Iceland, on the edge of the habitable world. His art education began with a BFA from the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts (MHI) and after working as an art director at one of Iceland's leading advertising agencies, he moved to San Francisco to attend the Academy of Art University Graduate School. After completing his MFA degree in Illustration, Erling worked as a freelance illustrator in New York and Reykjavik, and as a concept artist for CCP Games. He currently lives and works in Southern Maine.
Erling's list of achievements include: Publication in Communication Arts - Illustration Annual 2007, and Ballistic Publishing: d'artiste - Digital Painting, and EXPOSÉ 10, and a EPICA advertising award.
