Students with a high school diploma or equivalent seeking a professional degree in the studio arts supported by a robust liberal arts curriculum 
(Approximately 2/3 studio coursework and 1/3 non-studio academic coursework)
Students with a high school diploma or equivalent seeking a professional degree in the studio arts as well as a Bachelor’s degree in a specific major within the School of Arts & Sciences
(Approximately 1/2 studio coursework and 1/2 non-studio academic coursework)

  • Earn a minimum of 120 credits
  • Complete 76 credits of studio coursework and 42 credits of Liberal Arts Distribution requirements (including 15 credits of art history)
  • Satisfy the residency requirement

  • 10-12 courses of non-studio Major

Students with a Bachelor’s degree in any area seeking an intensive and exploratory year of studio artmaking supported by seminars in art history and professional practice as a preparation for an MFA degree or as professional development

Students with a Bachelor’s degree seeking a rigorous interdisciplinary studio curriculum, framed by academic discourse and the development of professional practice, culminating in a final thesis exhibition Students with a Bachelor’s degree seeking teaching licensure at the middle and high school levels. This program combines classes in education, art education, and studio art with a semester of student teaching in a Boston area PK-12 school

  • One art history course
  • 4 Full-Time semesters including 36 credits of studio art, CAP Seminar, and Grad Seminar

  • Thesis Exhibition
  • 3 education classes in summer
  • 8 credits of studio coursework and 2 art education classes in the fall
  • student-teaching internship that includes weekly seminar
