Biography

As Senior Academic Advisor, Dr. Ogaldez looks forward to supporting the Advising Deans working with Combined Degree undergraduate students in their engagement of the BFA + BA or BFA + BS programs, helping them navigate university procedures and making informed decisions about their choices.

Most recently Ted served as Student Employment Coordinator at Albright College, in this position he worked with managers to hire students for on-campus jobs. Across the campus, he also supported the Men of Color initiative. 

Previously he worked at Davidson College as Director of National Fellowships and Scholarships/Holistic Student Advisor, supporting students in their quest to participate in scholarship opportunities such as Fulbright, Marshall, and Truman. He also provided undeclared students with resources about curriculum requirements, course selection, and campus resources. Ted also served as Director of Trio Upward Bound at the University of Vermont, supporting students of color, first-generation, and students from low socio-economic backgrounds to prepare for acceptance and success in college.

Starting out his academic pursuit as a plant and soil scientist, Ted earned a BSc. from Tuskegee University, an MSc. From Alcorn State University, and a Ph.D. in Education and Human Resources Studies from Colorado State University.

A favorite pastime of Ted’s is gardening, where he finds peace in having conversations with the plants. He is curious about fishing and is considering finding the time to see if it is as enjoyable as some fisher folks say.

Ted is excited about joining the advising team at Tufts University supporting students in their quest to do exceptional work while having great experiences.
