On Saturday, March 9, 2019, Kendall Reiss led an interactive program at the Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton, MA, in collaboration with Amy Consalvi, director of Education and Visitor Services at the museum, who earned her MA in Museum Studies from Tufts in 2014. Jane Gillooly's film Where the Pavement Ends, co-edited with Khary Saeed Jones (from the Tufts Film and Media Studies department and the department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies), has been selected to premiere at MoMA's Doc Fortnight 2019 on February 22, 2019 at 4:30 pm and February 24, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Where the Pavement Ends also screened at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:30 pm. The film premiered at the ICA Boston to a packed crowd in October 2018.
Grey Matter, featuring the work of Heidi Whitman, ran from February 19 through March 15, 2019. An opening reception was held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 6:00 pm at the Chandler Gallery at Maud Morgan Arts. Heidi gave an artist talk at the gallery on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 6:00 pm.
Lizi Brown's ink drawings were on view in Heartbeat at Gorse Mill Gallery in Needham through March 25, 2019. A closing reception was held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:30 pm, with a Story Slam on the theme "Heartbeat of the Neighborhood" hosted by Cindy Rivka Marshall which began at 6:30 pm.
The Contemporary at the Currier celebration highlighted Ethan Murrow's work, Hauling. The party happened on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 7:00 to 11:00 pm and featured hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
