Artist Statement

Christine Chiang’s practice moves between ceramics and photography, exploring craft as a way of thinking through making. Working with wheel-thrown vessels and scroll-mounted photographs, she approaches materials through repetition and attention. Through these forms, Chiang reflects on cultural inheritance, identity, and the ways objects can carry connections between people, places, and histories. Guided by curiosity, she remains closely attentive to material and process, approaching her practice as an ongoing act of learning.
